Meet The Team: Jonathan Edwards, Technician Team Leader

Jon, 34, began his car wash career in his hometown of Virginia Beach, VA, in 2006 as a crew member at a major chain. Intrigued by the technical side of the industry, he joined Howco in 2014 in the service department. Learning and advancing through the department, he was named a Howco Technician Team Leader based in Frederick, MD, now supervising the company’s service area encompassing Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. 

 “My greatest satisfaction in this business is mentoring other technicians as we quickly address and solve issues for our customers,” Edwards stated. “We are always a welcome sight at their facilities, as we help them wash more cars more efficiently, and that’s gratifying. 

 “It’s exciting to be in the car wash industry right now,” Edwards continued. “With all the growth, consolidation, and acquisitions, it’s a great time to be building and supporting washes. The technology has come so far since I started in the business, and I’m particularly impressed with the new and different types of conveyor system controllers that are available today. It’s amazing technology that keeps improving.” 

 On the personal side, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, reading, and tinkering with various mechanical items, small engines, and yard equipment, keeping his equipment running with the same efficiency and expertise he provides to Howco customers.
